Prohibited Content
Certain topics are off-limits in UVRP, regardless of context or intent. These rules exist to protect our community and ensure everyone feels safe while playing.
Sexual Assault Roleplay – Absolute Zero Tolerance
Strictly Prohibited: Roleplaying any form of sexual assault, including but not limited to:
Rape or attempted rape
Non-consensual touching or groping through animations, emotes or
/meSexual coercion or manipulation
Any scenario involving sexual violence
This rule has NO exceptions:
✗ Not allowed even with consent from all parties involved
✗ Not allowed "off-screen" or implied
✗ Not allowed as part of a character's backstory being actively roleplayed
✗ Not allowed under any circumstances
Consequences: Immediate permanent ban with no possibility of appeal
Suicide Roleplay – Not Allowed
Strictly Prohibited: Roleplaying suicide, suicide attempts, or suicidal ideation in any form.
Why this rule exists: Suicide is a serious real-world issue that affects many people. Roleplaying it can be deeply triggering for community members and trivializes a tragic reality. We're here to create entertaining stories, not to explore or depict self-harm.
This includes:
Active suicide attempts or completions
Threatening suicide as a manipulation tactic in RP
Detailed discussions or planning of suicide in character
Using suicide as a plot device or storyline
Consequences: Disciplinary action up to and including permanent ban.
If you're struggling: If you or someone you know is experiencing suicidal thoughts, please reach out to crisis resources like the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (988 in the US) or contact a trusted person for support.
Mental Illness Roleplay – Not Allowed
Strictly Prohibited: Roleplaying characters with mental illnesses or using mental health conditions as character traits.
Why this rule exists: Mental illness is a serious, real-world medical condition that affects millions of people. Roleplaying it often leads to:
Harmful stereotypes and misrepresentation
Trivializing genuine struggles people face
Using mental illness as an excuse for poor behavior or rule-breaking
Creating uncomfortable or triggering scenarios for community members
This includes:
Depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, etc.
Using mental illness as justification for your character's actions
Roleplaying "insanity" or "crazy" characters based on mental health stereotypes
What you CAN do:
Roleplay complex, flawed characters with realistic emotions and reactions
Have your character experience sadness, anger, fear, or stress in response to situations
Create characters with personality quirks, unique perspectives, or interesting backstories
The difference: Human emotion and response vs. clinical mental illness. Your character can be sad about something that happened – they can't have clinical depression.
Consequences: Disciplinary action based on severity.
When In Doubt:
If you're unsure whether a topic or scenario crosses the line, don't do it. Open a ticket and ask staff first. We'd rather clarify boundaries than deal with violations.
Our community is built on respect, safety, and immersive roleplay. These rules help us maintain that foundation.
